About

Grace Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist Church located in Meppen, Illinois.   We exist to bring glory to God, advance his kingdom and share his love with our community.  In 2007 the Lord laid it on the hearts of a few families from Grace Baptist Church of Pittsfield, their pastor, and others to start a Baptist Church in Hardin Illinois.  God worked it out so that an old church building in East Hardin could be our home.  The members of GBC set out to reach this community with the love of Christ, the message of Salvation by grace through faith, and the principles of the Word of God.  On August 19, 2007, we had our first church service.  Our charter service was July 19, 2008. Since that day, we have been growing together in grace.  We love our area and we believe God has great blessings in store for his children.

 The flood of 2019 brought new changes and challenges to the church as well as our entire region.  During the peak of the flood, our levee broke, filling the entire area east of the river with fifteen feet of water.  It took months for the water to drain out.  Our building was a total loss.  For a few years we met in different places while searching and praying for direction and a new location.  The Lord answered in August of 2022 by allowing us to purchase our current location in Meppen, just a few miles south of Hardin.

  Hello, I'm Pastor Khory Allen.  I was called as pastor the summer of 2019.  My family and I are happy to be in Hardin and look forward to serving the community.

Before coming to GBC I have served as a pastor, associate pastor, youth eveangelist and camp manager for 18 years.  My wife Stacy and I have five children, Jonathan, Micah, Rebekah, Nathan, and Isaac.
